Tree Surgery

This is the common term used to cover a variety of techniques used in the management of mature trees, usually involving pruning. Generally speaking, trees are quite capable of looking after themselves and are best left alone where possible. However, old age, disease, storm damage or confinement in urban spaces can lead to problems that require intervention for the continued safety and integrity of the tree.

If a tree is inspected regularly, any problems that may arise can be picked up in the early stages and usually will only require minimal work to address.

Some of the more common pruning operations we carry out include crown reduction, crown thinning, crown lifting, crown cleaning (inc.deadwood removal). We also supply and install cable braces.

For further explaination of each operation see our glossary of terms
